G-d Bless the IDF

Mike L.

Muslim worshipers throw stones, Molotov cocktails at police, that entered the Al-Aqsa compound to disperse the rioters.

Jerusalem police entered the Temple Mount on Friday following afternoon prayers, after worshipers began throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at police forces on the Mugrabi bridge. Police used stun grenades in order to disperse the crowds.

Nine policemen were lightly hurt in the incident, three of them received treatment on the scene while six were evacuated to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem, a police spokesman said. Palestinian media said at least 15 protesters were injured.
One of the biggest problems that we have as advocates for the Jewish people and for the Jewish state of Israel is that many people throughout the world, particularly those on the political left, honestly believe that the Jews deserve a good beating.

They wouldn't put it in such terms, of course.  What they would say, many of them, is that Israel is a racist, colonialist, imperialist, militaristic, apartheid, racist state and that Palestinian-Arab violence is a natural reaction of an oppressed indigenous people to occupation and abuse.

People who think in such terms, and there are millions upon millions of them, particularly in Europe and within the halls of American universities, believe that Arabs have every right to try to murder Jews because the Jews are bad.  That's what it comes down to, does it not?

The only possible way that they can maintain this fiction is by ignoring the long history of violent Arab-Muslim oppression of the Jewish people on Jewish land going back to the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem in the seventh-century.  They have to wipe Jewish history in the Middle East out almost entirely in order to maintain this toxic ideological falsehood, but that's what they do.

What they also do... and we help them with this when we discuss the "Israel-Palestine" conflict... is pretend that this ongoing war is one between a mighty power (the IDF Goliath) versus little rock-throwing Davids (the New Jews).  In order to maintain this bit of malicious fiction they must pretend that the larger Arab-Muslim world is not a combatant, yet it is.

The Arabs of the Middle East for the most part don't like Jews on religious grounds and have been persecuting us because of it since the days of Muhammed.

That's a simple fact.  It may not be Politically Correct to acknowledge this truth, but truth it is.  It may not represent the views of all Arabs, but who cares?  There are 400 million Arabs in that part of the world and about 6 million Jews.  They have us outnumbered by a factor of 70 to 1, yet smug "progressives" half way around the planet stand in righteous solidarity with the millions of Arabs who want nothing so much as to secure their ticket to a cool place in the after-life through murdering Jewish people in the name of Allah and the Prophet.

It's pretty sick and it represents, in my view, the flushing down the toilet of the foundational values of the progressive movement, itself.

I've recently been re-perusing Professor Ruth Wisse's Jews and Power and in her conclusion she writes the following:
Equating "statehood" with "power," the new experts confused Zionism's potential with its achievement, as if the acquired option of Jewish self-defense had erased Arab advantages of numbers, resources, and land.
Ruth Wisse, Jews and Power, 2007, Random House, pg. 174.
The only thing that has really changed in the long centuries of Jewish abuse by Arabs in the Middle East is that now, finally, the Jews have the means of self-defense.  Arabs aren't throwing rocks at Jews because Jews are mean.  They are throwing rocks at Jews because they teach their kids that doing so is just fine and the reason that they think so has much to do with the Koran and with never-ending Koranically-based racial bigotry toward us.

When Obama's friend, Muhammed Morsi, said, "This is what these occupiers of the land of Palestine know – these blood-suckers, who attack the Palestinians, these warmongers, the descendants of apes and pigs," it wasn't just some random bit of racism, as the western media treated it.  This reference to Jews as "apes and pigs" is embedded within Islam.  This sentiment is not random, nor is it rare.

It is endemic.

Do well-meaning, yet vicious and ignorant, progressives honestly believe that widespread violence toward us only started in 1948?  It didn't.  There is a long and dishonorable tradition of Muslim majority violence against the oppressed Jewish minority that continues to this day.  It is our very presence that they do not much like and it is our sovereignty which they simply cannot accept because it contradicts certain central Islamic precepts.

Until such a day as they do accept it, however, the Palestinian-Arabs will continue to live lives of poverty, self-abasement, vicious overt racism, and hate, while the Jews among them continue to dance and sing, continue to crank out those Nobel Prizes in science, and continue to strengthen our hold on our land... by any means necessary.

The Day of the Dhimmi is Done.

.

By the way, strictly for the heck of it, remember this?

It makes me happy.

  1. Anti-Semitism 2.0, by Mudar Zahran

"The concept of the 'evil Jew' has made a well-disguised comeback: Criticizing Israel and Zionists, is now deemed a legitimate option to cursing Jews and Judaism. Not only is it open, socially acceptable and legal, but it can actually bring prosperity and popularity. This new form of anti-Semitism 2.0 is well-covered-up, harder to trace and poses a much deeper danger to the modern way of life of the civilized world than the earlier crude form of it, as it slowly and gradually works on delegitimizing Jews to the point where it eventually becomes acceptable to target Jews, first verbally, then physically -- all done in a cosmopolitan style where the anti-Semites are well-groomed speakers and headline writers in jackets and ties; and not just Arab, but American and European, from 'sanitized' news coverage of the most bloodthirsty radicals, to charges against Israel in which facts are distorted, selectively omitted or simply untrue, as in former President Jimmy Carter's book on Israel.

"Why would a Palestinian* be writing this? The answer is simple: The Palestinians* have been used as fuel for the new form of anti-Semitism; this has hurt the Palestinians* and exposed them to unprecedented and purposely media-ignored abuse by Arab governments, including some of those who claim love for the Palestinians*, yet in fact only bear hatred to Jews. This has resulted in Palestinian* cries for justice, equality, freedom and even basic human rights being ignored while the world getting consumed with delegitimizing Israel from either ignorance or malice.

"Worse, just as the old form of anti-Semitism has proven itself a threat as poisonous to its supporters, as it was to the Jews, the new form of anti-Semitism 2.0 could prove itself the same -- all the more likely as we see the world tolerating Iran's nuclear ambitions not necessarily out of love for the Mullah's regime, but instead because of mental fixation against Israel. ..."

From a talk by Khaled Abu Toameh:

"...When I tried, in '95 and '96 and '97 to alert many of my foreign colleagues to the fact that Arafat was stealing the money, back then, in the financial corruption, and that the Palestinians* are complaining about this, many of my American, Canadian, European, colleagues, asked me back then if I were on the payroll of 'The Jewish Lobby'. They asked me: 'Did Jews pay you money to say that Arafat is corrupt and bad?'.' ..."
